During the winter holidays I was brainstorming ways to decorate my Christmas table. So I decided to take a walk up and down the isles of Dollar tree looking for inspirations. Well I came across the battery operated candles and a light bulb went off. I thought to myself these are awesome. No need to worry about the wax getting all over my delicate table clothes. My favorite thought was that I didn’t need to worry about my kids blowing it out, touching it or getting burnt. It was a win, win situation.<\/p>\n

So for a $1.25 I picked up 2 candles and set to let the creative juices flow. <\/strong><\/h2>\n

After all the candles are plain white.\u00a0 They do come in different colors but I thought white is a color I can compliment with many colors.<\/p>\n

Originally, I thought of stamping on the candle. But I thought I don’t want to store many different decorated holiday or seasonal candles.\u00a0 That is when the idea came! Why not decorate and change the candle decor according to the holiday or season?\u00a0 After all, I do like to have fresh new decor each year.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The candles are a perfect size for the table and last for 120 hours.\u00a0 No more a variety of candles for each holiday or season.\u00a0 These candles are also perfect for parties or weddings. Many vendors have banned wax candles as they drip onto the table linen and it is difficult to clean.\u00a0 But as you can see they are VERY plain, but that does not mean you can not make it beautiful.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So now I am set to change it to a Valentine theme by pulling out some designer series paper. I chose to pull out the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Paper<\/a>.\u00a0 The thing I liked about this paper is the glitter\/shine.\u00a0 After all who doesn’t like some shine? I was thinking of adding to twine and a stamped image, but it would take away the beauty of the paper.\u00a0 To be honest I couldn’t decide which design was my favorite. So here are two different designs I made.\u00a0 I hope this will help your creativity\u00a0 flow or just copy one of these ideas. In the end this candle cost me $1.85 to purchase and decorate.\u00a0 I have to say that is a pretty good deal.<\/p>\n
